Morning Session

Tuition: $7,041 annually (2011 - 2012)
At CNS, children attend our program 5 mornings / week. Teachers provide a daily routine that affords the children the opportunity to investigate many materials, both independently and in teacher-directed projects. The morning begins with an extended period of free play that includes opportunities for children to explore independently or work in small groups. Activities include water or sand play, dramatic play, outdoor play, art/science projects, manipulatives, and large blocks. As the morning progresses, each group has whole-group meetings, snack, and story time. Occasionally, we may have a special project, nature walk, or visit from a specialist. Our music teacher, Wayne Potash, visits each class weekly. Specialists from MA Audubon's Habitat Education Center and Wildlife Sanctuary, and My First Yoga, visit each class every other week on a second weekday. Each class spends time outside every morning, weather-permitting.

Cambridge Nursery School offers a lunch option to those families who want the socialization opportunities of lunch, or need additional time beyond the 12noon pickup time, but are not interested in the full extended day option. Lunch Bunch is limited to 7 additional children, beyond the Extended Day group. Individual days are available on a semester or per diem basis.

Cambridge Nursery School offers the option of an extended day program from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. daily. The children have lunch together, listen to stories, relax with quiet music, and have a special project each afternoon. Each day will have a special focus. Extended day is limited to 7 children in total. Individual days are available on a semester or per diem basis.
Summer Camp 2012
6-week program: June 11th - July 27th (No summer program during the week of July 2nd - July 6th.)
9:00 am - 1:00 pm (children bring lunch & snack each day)
$215 Per Week (2-week minimum for new children).
** Summer tuition is non-refundable, and must be paid in full for your child’s registration to be complete.
Summer Camp is a relaxed time for children involving mostly outdoor play in our shady, breezy playground. It is a good opportunity for incoming children to become familiar with school. The program runs for six weeks, beginning the Monday morning after the regular school closes and runs through the end of July. Parents may sign up for individual weeks, assuming space.
