Fall Open House and Parent Tours:
We strongly encourage interested families to visit our school. We schedule an Open House each fall, and welcome prospective parents the opportunity to visit the classroom during the school day. After the fall Open House, you will be able to tour the school, observe the classrooms, meet with the Director, and speak with a current parent. We ask that children not accompany parents on this initial tour as this may be disruptive to the class in session. Parents are welcome to schedule a second visit with their child prior to making a decision. Please call the school to schedule a visit.
Application Process:
Applications are accepted at the Fall Open House, and on a rolling basis, thereafter. A non-refundable fee is due with each application. Children must be at least 2.9 years old on September 30th to be considered for fall admission.
Enrollment Notification:
We always receive more applicants than we have spaces available. We send out the first acceptances in March and waitlist the other families. If any initial offers of admission are declined, families from the waiting list are contacted.
In reviewing applications, the formation of a well-balanced group is the main consideration, as well as the date of application. We give priority to current families, siblings, alumni, and to families that add diversity to the school. In general, we seek to provide continuity within the community by giving priority also to families who expect to enroll in our older pre-K class, after spending a year in the younger class.
If your child is admitted and you decide to accept a space at CNS, a non-refundable Holding Deposit will be required to hold your child's space. This deposit is non-refundable, but will be deducted from your last semester’s tuition. Tuition is paid at the beginning of each semester. Limited financial aid is available.
